Training 2010

1 Mandatory Training Free Of Charge

Candidates of Social Care Professionals now receive training free of charge to support our commitment to safe working and the legal requirements of health and safety. This training is mandatory and needs to be maintained, as without the appropriate and valid training clients may decline candidates for bookings. We try to make training as accessible as possible and book a variety of dates to try and suit everyone’s needs

Mandatory training that you are required to attend is as follows;
- Emergency First Aid
- Moving and Handling
- Fire Safety
- Food Hygiene
- Health & Safety
- Infection Control
- SOVA


2 Additional Training Courses for 2010

i.Introduction to Mental Health – delivered by qualified RMN /Senior Management experience across acute services

Dates confirmed for this course are Tues 08th June / Tues 17th August /Tues 09th November. This course runs from 0900-1300, and will be held at the Colchester office. The charge £10 and you will receive a certificate after completion.


ii.Makaton stages 1 & 2 – Awarding body approval and certification

The date confirmed for this course is Thursday 12th August. This course runs from 0930-1630, and will be held at the Greenstead Community Centre. The charge is £40 and you will receive a certificate after completion.


iii.Foundation Award Care of Medicines – Recognised and required award for working with medication in any setting
– Dates to be advised


iv.Supporting People with Acquired Brain Injury – Delivered by qualified specialists from an external provider - Dates to be advised
